How do you eat your Oreo?
Jeff and I really like to give Jayden tastes of different things. We like to see his facial expression which are usually very funny. Well, on this particular day we were eating oreos and decided to see how Jayden liked it. Of course he loved it and couldn't get enough of it. He would suck on it, and if I took it away he would grab my hand and force it back into his mouth. It was hilarious. As you can see he got it all over his face, but that just makes it more fun!
Two Teeth!!
Well, to my surprise this last week Jayden got two teeth. It shocked me because I haven't been aware of him having any teething symptoms, which I was waiting for because he is almost 7 months old now. I would check his gums often to see if they were inflamed at all, and they never really were that I could see. He hasn't been crazy fussy or acting like he is in pain. He always puts things in his mouth an gnaws on everything, but he doesn't drool like crazy. So I was waiting for all these things to happen, but instead the teeth just popped up and now Jayden's doesn't have just a cute gum smile but he's got teeth! It's amazing to me. I was getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist last Tuesday and me and my sister in law (who is a dental hygienist, and cleaned my teeth) were talking about Jayden and when he should start teething. I put my finger in his mouth to feel his gums and sure enough there was one tooth with another one just surfacing! I pretty much shouted for joy in the dentist office. I couldn't believe it. I had heard of children who aren't phase by teething, but have also heard horror stories of teething, and always hoped and prayed that Jayden would get lucky and not be phased by it and so he did! It is so cute. I don't have a picture yet of his teeth. He always puts his tongue on them when I want to see them so I haven't gotten a good picture yet, but I will. It's another phase in his life. Now I can give him more food that he can start trying to chew and things. I love my little guy so much. He has been such a blessing in Jeff and I's life. We are some lucky parents! Six months is such a fun age!

Life is Good!

For those of you who don't know, last year Jeff's family opened up a Life is good store. It is an awesome store that has optimism at heart. All of their products support having a good life and one of their motos is " Do what you like. Like what you do." It promotes seeing the good side of things in life. Like the glass being half full instead of half empty. It started by two brothers who were selling T-shirts, trying to make a business but weren't being very successful till they found Jake. Jake is a character on the t-shirt who promotes optimism and good life. He has a dog names rocket. There are amazing stories of how Life is good has helped people get through the hardest times in their life. If you would like to learn more go to http://www.jakesoldhouse.com. Also you should check out our store, it's pretty awesome, and if you want a discount, let me know. :) Let me know if you don't know where it's at. Jeffrey and I have been trying to remember in all that we do that Life is good no matter what trial we may be facing. Jayden has some Life is Good clothes and is sporting them here in these pictures. He's a stud. We are a Life is good family!

Our Cute little boy..
So, I know this blog is pretty much all about Jayden, but he's so cute that how can it not be. Sunday was a great day, and Jayden had a cute outfit on that Grandma Sue gave him for Easter, so I had to take some pictures, surprising, I know.
It was funny because when he was younger if I ever wanted to take a picture of him it was difficult because all he was interested in was the camera, not smiling for mom. But Sunday it was like he was posing for me, because he smiled for almost every picture I took of him. He figured it out I guess! He's so cute.

It's swimming time!!
Jayden had his first experience in Grandma and Grandpa pool last Saturday and he did so good. I was nervous because the water was pretty chilly, but he didn't seem to mind. It was in the 80's on Saturday so Jeff and I decided to see how Jayden would like swimming, since we're probably going to be doing a lot of that this summer. I didn't have a swimming suit for him yet so we just used a onesie, a diaper, and some shorts. Jeff started by putting his feet in the water and then gradually put him farther in, and he didn't cry once! They splashed around and played for a good 20 minutes. I was trying to get some good pictures of him but he would not look at me. He was so mesmerized with the water that he would never look up, but I still got some cute ones of him.
