Remembering Amy

A year ago today my sweet sister passed away. Today already has been a rough one. It's weird but I have felt like I am reliving the whole bitter/sweet experience again. I remember the call from my mom and the tears that were shed. I remember hugging my family and sharing tears with them. I remember seeing Amy for the first time and just wanting to shake her and wake her up. I remember going through pictures and crying a little more. I remember sitting around with my family laughing and crying for all the sweet memories we have of Amy. I remember the sacred experience me, my mom and my sister had while dressing Amy for her funeral. I will never forget the spirit that we felt there in that room with her. I remember family and friends that came over and shared their memories and love for Amy. I remember seeing family that I haven't seen for a long time. I remember closing the casket and feeling so helpless and sad that I won't get to see my sister again for awhile. I remember each of my siblings share their favorite past times of Amy and seeing them cry. I remember Jeffrey's poem that he wrote for Amy. I remember the amazing music that was performed at the funeral. I remember how sad it is to not have Amy there when we get together as a family. We miss her a lot. Through everything what I remember most,(and what I hold on too) is the peace I have in my heart knowing the plan of Salvation and that I will see my sweet sister again. She is happier than she ever was here on earth and that makes me happy. She is dancing with angels and singing in the heavenly choir, and I know she is watching over me and my family. I love you Amy and I miss you.

And then there were presents...

It was so fun to watch Mia open her birthday presents. She was truly interested in every little thing that she got. From a birthday card to an adorable outfit, she loved everything. She gave every little present a good look over, and you knew she was loving it!

Mia had no trouble eating all of her piece of birthday cake. She started eating very dainty and then realized how good it was and dug right in. She tried to get get every last crumb.

MiaLynn Turns 1

My baby girls turned 1 on July 31st! She is such a fun and sweet little girl, with a sassy attitude on the side. :) We love her so much! She has been such a good little baby and I'm afraid to say that she is now turning into a little girl. She's our tiny little spit fire and we love her so much! Here are somethings to remember about Mia at 1 years old:

-She is a big eater. She could eat more than her brother any day, anytime

-She started walking like crazy a little after she was 11 months old, now she tries to run like her brother

-She is a great sleeper, taking 2 naps a day. One for 2 hours and the other for an hour and a half

-She tries so hard to talk but sometimes can't get what she wants out. She can say mom, dad, dog, baby, pretty, book,drink, J for Jayden, and other words I'm sure that I can't think of right now. But she is very stubborn and won't say anything if she is asked too.

-She gets very upset when a toy or something she likes is taken away from her.

-She is pretty dramatic

-She loves to read books, especially ones with any kind of animal on it.

-She loves to swim and play outside.

-She loves to jump on the tramp with her brother

-She doesn't like to ride in the car, especially on long trips.

-She dances whenever music comes on. How? She walks and bounces around in a little circle. I love it!

-She loves to play on the bed with Jayden

-She loves when daddy comes home, but is still a momma's girl

Jayden and Mia love, love, love getting in the tub. As soon as I turn the water on, Mia tries to get in with her clothes on(cause mommy's not fast enough at getting them off), and Jayden take his clothes off as fast as he can so he can get in and play. They have so much fun together. Mia loves watching Jayden and tries to do everything that he does. I love bath time too, cause it gives me sometime to sit by the tub and read a good magazine or book.

Birthday time!!!

My birthday was last friday and it was one of the best birthday's that I have ever had. I got to spend time with my family, Jeff took half the day off to be with me, and I got a SWEET new CAMERA!! I am so excited! But that wasn't even the best part. Jeff made that day so fun and special for me! I am one lucky girl to have him for my husband. He spoiled me and made me feel like a million bucks! It was a great day. So I have been playing with my camera and here is a little photo shoot I did with my little princess. She was funny, and not very cooperative but I think I got some cute shots of her. LIFE IS GOOD!

My baby girl is now 9 months old! She is our little spit-fire! She's already got an attitude, but we love her! She is a great baby and is so much fun. Here are her Stats:

Jayden and her play together so well.
She takes all the kung fu ninja stuff jayden gives her and gives a little back. She loves to wrestle and play rough.
She gives slobbery kisses
She sleeps like an angel- 2-3 naps during the day and all through the night
She eats almost everything we give her except peas- just like her momma
She wants to eat everything that we eat
She says mama, dada, no no no, and a bunch of other jibberish
She is a crawling maniac! She is so fast!
She can stand by herself, bend over pick something up and stand back up
She walks her baby stroller
She loves her momma
She dances when music comes on
She loves to jump
She loves the water!
She still wears her 3-6 month old clothes and some of her 0-3 month old clothes as well!
She follows me all around the house
She does this look that Jeff and I love but she had to be in the mood to do it
She is very ticklish
She has 2 bottom teeth
She is our princess and we love her sooo much!

Father and Sons Campout 2010

Jayden and Jeff went to fathers and son's camp out last weekend and came back smelly and dirty but full of smiles because they had so much fun. The report back was they had yummy food, great company and lots of playing. Jayden did really well sleeping in a tent which was great to here. Looks like there will be more camping trips in the future for us. At the camp fire listening to stories and watching the fire.

Swimming!

We went to SandHollow Aqautic center the other day and had a great time swimming with the kids. They were both a little hesitant at first but warmed up to it and like it. Jayden and Mia went down the big slide with Jeff and liked it. They have a great area for little kids and babies to play in. It was a good time.

Mothers Day

Mom is the bomb was the theme my husband came up with this mothers day. He is so creative. I loved it. All the little white pieces of paper are coupons for great things that Jeff gets to do for me. Like foot and back massages, getting up with the kids and letting me sleep in, making a sweet dinner, and other great things. I have used several already. They are the best!

Jeff made the day so great for me. He got up with the kids in the morning so I could sleep in a little bit. He made me a fantastic breakfast of stuffed french toast, eggs, bacon, orange juice and chocolate milk. He's the best.

Fun times

I went to Salk Lake a couple weeks ago to spend sometime with my mom and my sister. My mom got my sister and I tickets to the Sugar Land concert for mothers day and it was a blast!! I didn't take my kids so the drive there and back was wonderful and relaxing. I drove on a Friday and spent half the day with my sister learning some sweet zumba moves. Then we met my mom and great friend Kara and headed to one of our favorite restaurant CHILES! Then it was off to the concert. The concert was awesome! Sugarland put on a great show. We danced, goofed off, and sang the night away. Before I got married and moved down south I used to go to concerts with my mom and sister all the time! Like seriously, one summer we went to like 10 concerts! We love them. They are so fun. And since I have been married I have been to 4. Yes 4 in the 3 and a half years I have been married. So it was so fun to go again with my mom and sister and let that self of me go that I only let go at concerts! The next day my mom and I went to my sisters Zumba class which rocked the house! She is so awesome and is such a good instructor. Then my mom pampered my sister and I by taking us to get our toenails done and our eyebrows waxed! After that we got some lunch and I hurried home to see my husband and kids. It was a short but awesome trip! I loved every minute being with my mom and sister, and good friend Kara. I love them and miss them so much!

I was tagged and I've never done one of these before so I thought it would be fun. This is the 10th picture in the first album in my pictures folder! This is when Jeff and I were on our honeymoon getting on to our cruise ship! He surprised me for our honeymoon. I thought we were going to go somewhere lame like Montana, but no, he is a sly and sneaky guy and sent us on a cruise for 7 nights to the Western Caribbean! It was so fun. One of the best weeks of my life. I love my hubby!

Come Sail Away

I got a sweet Karaoke machine for christmas and we love it. Jayden especially loves it and he is so fun to listen to. This is my favorite song to hear him sing! Enjoy!

Ice Skating Date

Jeff and I went out the other night and went ice skating. It was so fun! I felt like I was in high school again. I loved it! The first time I ever met Jeff we were ice skating, so that's kind of cool huh? I love the feeling under my feet when I'm skating on ice. I was very cautious in the beginning and then I got more and more confident. Too confident in fact that I fell really hard on my behind. I mean really really hard. My whole left side of my body hurt. It makes me wonder how those Olympic ice skaters fly in the air and do double axles and stuff and fall, but continue on as if nothing happened! I fell and couldn't do anything for at least a minute. I gained a new respect for those women and men that night. Anyway, I had a great time with my hubby. I love him.

Valentines Day

We had a great Valentines Day this year. We spent it as a family and ate sweet treats and played games. Jayden is obsessed with chapstick so he got some for Valentines day and has to take it everywhere he goes. Mia got some bisquits to chew on and she loves them. I got a sweet 20 picture photo frame and beauitful flowers, and Jeffrey got a day with me golfing and a sweet new golfing outfit. I love getting little gifts for my family. It's so fun and makes the holidays a lot more fun. It's the little things that count right. I love my family!
