Christmas time is here!

We are totally feeling the Christmas spirit this year and are very excited for Christmas. The other night we decorated our tree and Jayden loved helping. I love the feeling in my house when all the christmas lights are on, a christmas candle is spreading a sweet aroma with christmas music playing in the background. It makes me happy.

Jeff and Jason built this gingerbread house and did an awesome job.

My little boy is 2!!

My little boy turned 2 a week ago, and it is so crazy to me. He's growing up so fast and I don't like it very much. He's an awesome little boy and so much fun. He's a typical 2 year old and thinks that every thing is his. Mine this, mine that. That's what I here most of the day, and that's what all of Jaydens cousins and friends here too. He is talking like a champ, and says that funniest things. He loves to jump off of anything he can climb up, which we have to be very careful about. He loves balls and sleeps with atleast one baseball, football, basketball, and golf ball. He loves to sit up on the counter and cook with me. He loves it when his daddy comes home from work so he can play with him. He loves his little sister and is so gentle with her. He has been potty trained for about a month now! Every morning he gets out of bed and comes and snuggles with us. He's a very smart kid, and loves to read his books. There are so many reason why we love this little guy. He makes Jeff and I laugh everyday. We couldn't imagine life without him! Happy Birthday little Jayden. We Love you!

We took Jayden to McDonalds for lunch on his birthday. He loved it.

3 years! YEA BABY!

Blogging...

I am back finally! I don't know why it takes me so long to post stuff, but I get lazy and remember all the millions of other things that i have to do. Lots has happened in the last couple months. Well I guess not a whole bunch but it seemed like a lot to me! Jayden is now potty trained and is such a big boy. He caught on really fast and thought it was fun so it wasn't too hard, other than spending a couple complete days in the bathroom, but it was all worth it. He is getting to be such a big boy. He's starting to talk in full sentences now and I love it. He's still obsessed with balls but his favorite right now is a baseball and a football. He runs around the house saying, "Mom! Ready set hike!" with a football in his hand. He's pretty funny. We spent a few days in Vegas last week with my sister and her boys, and Jayden had a little accident. Him and his cousins were jumping on the bed, Jayden fell down and bumped his head. We had to rush to a hospital and he then received two staples in his head! What a crazy kid! It amazes me what my little boy has been through before the age of 2. At 5 weeks he got his first ambulance ride, and age 1 he got 8 stitches in his little thumb, and before age 2 gets 2 staples in his head. Seriously, no more I tell ya! Poor little guy did amazing while getting the staples though. They put this numbing cream on his head instead of injecting numbing medicine, and then when the doctor put the staples in, Jayden didn't even flinch nor did he flinch when the doctor took the staples out 5 days later. He's a tough guy. I guess he has to be for the life that he lives. He's a good boy and I love him to death! I can't believe that he will be 2 in a week and a half.
Mia is doing great as usual! She is still little and I love it, other than she doesn't fit into any of her warm clothes now that it's cold outside. She has a fun happy personality and smiles all the time. She laughed for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was one of those moments for me when you sit back and remember that being a mom is worth every cry, puke, poop and pee that I deal with everyday. It was so sweet! It's funny because she laughed the same way that Jayden laughed for his first time too! Jeff sneezed and she thought it was hilarious! He must be funny looking when he sneezes. Mia turned 2 months a month and a half ago and she weighed 9.6 lbs and was 22 1/2 inches long. She will now be 4 months old in a couple weeks and we'll see how much she has grown. I hope she weighs more than what I think. I weighed her with me the other day and the scale said that she was 10 lbs exact. She's little but she's strong and happy and that's all I care about! I love my little girl!
Jeff and I are doing great. Our 3 year anniversary is tomorrow, and what an amazing busy 3 years it has been. I can say that I love Jeffrey more and more everyday. He is my perfect match and I am so grateful for him. I don't think there is another man in this world that could put up with me! He's the hardest worker I know. He's always starting new projects and is a very handy guy to have around the house. He's an amazing Dad and loves his kids so much! I am very lucky to have him as mine! Life is Good!

Craziness..

Life is passing me by so fast these days! I can't believe that my little girl will be 2 months old in a week. It has been an emotional crazy last month. I'm grateful to have such a great family, and the gospel! Here are some pictures from the last month.

MiaLynn Madsen

She's here! Our little baby girl finally decided to come into this world and meet her family. She was born on friday July 31st at 1:17 pm. She weighs 6lbs 3 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. Labor was a piece of cake and I am feeling great. Mia is doing awesome. She is a great sleeper and eater so we are very happy. Jayden loves his little sister and is adjusting to sharing his parents, but is doing very well. She is a tiny little girl and we love her very much!
Now for those of you that want to hear the labor story, here you go. My doctor stripped my membranes on wednesday, and that really started my contractions. I had contractions all eveing on wednesday and then they went away that night. Thursday I woke up not having contractions, but by the end of the day they were coming every 10 minutes and coming really hard. I knew they were real labor contractions because of the horrible cramping and pain I was in but wanted to wait until they got closer together to go to the hospital. Well, they continued on through the night, every 10 minutes and we should have just gone to the hospital but we didn't. The next day we were scheduled to go in and be induced so we just waited till morning to go. I didn't get any sleep thursday night though and that wasn't very fun. Friday we got a call from the hospital telling us to come in. So, we packed everything, left Jayden with my mom, and headed for the hospital. We got there at a 8:45 and they hooked me up and checked me, and I was dilated to a 7 and 85% effaced. I had dilated from a 4 on wednesday to a 7 on friday, so i was pretty much in labor for a couple days. A couple hours later at the hospital I was dilated to an 8 and very much ready for my epidural. I got the epidural, and then they started me on pitocin and the doctor broke my water around 12:30. By 1:10 I was a 10 and 100% effaced. At 1:12 I started pushing, pushed three times and at 1:17 my little girl was born. It was a wonderful experience. I didn't tear and my little girl is healthy, so we are very happy. She caught right on to nursing and I am very grateful for that. We are a little family of 4 now and life is good!

We found jayden sleeping like this the other night. It made us laugh so hard. What a kid. Love him...

SandHollow

My awesome brother came the first weekend of June to help us put carpet in our basement, and we got to have a little fun at the lake after all the work was done. We are so grateful for Eric and the awesome job that he did at laying our carpet in our basement! We couldn't have done it without him. Here are some pictures of our little family at the lake. Jeff started building a sandcastle with Jayden, and of course once Jeff starts something, he has to go big or go home. And big is exactly what he did! We had a lot of fun with Eric and Lu Lu, and Steve and LaDawn.

Father, Son Campout

Jeff and Jayden went on a father, son campout a while ago and had a lot of fun. Jayden roasted his first marshmellow and loved it. Jeff didn't sleep much because he decided to let Jayden sleep in the sleeping bag with him, but they had a good time. I enjoyed the time to myself. It was Jeffs first time having Jayden all to himself, and the first time for me not having atleast one of my boys around.

28 weeks and counting!

28 week belly

I can't believe that I am 28 weeks already. The time has flown by. My first pregnancy seemed to take forever, but the second time around is so different. Jayden keeps me busy and running all the time so the days and weeks just fly right by. We are very excited for our little girl to come, but love the last little time we have with Jayden. He always gives my belly hugs and kisses and says hi sister. It is the cutest thing. He knows that something is in there. He's going to be a great big brother and a lot of help I think. He's a good little boy.
